Smart DPS vs. Stupid DPS

Smart DPS knows to start attacking when appropriate, paying attention to whether or not the tank whiffed his opener. Smart DPS doesn't open with a huge opener that might potentially crit and draw aggro. Smart DPS knows to stop attacking if the tank loses threat to Stupid DPS. Smart DPS is responsible for it's own healing, outside of specific boss mechanics that prohibit.  Does not *rely* on healers. Smart DPS brings consumables and uses them before boss fights definately, during trash maybe. Smart DPS knows to run towards the tank if they inadvertantly pull aggro. Smart DPS knows proper skill/spell rotations to maximize DPS Smart DPS is constantly analyzing their performance to see how to improve .. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stupid DPS announces when / how die while the rest of us are still in combat.    I will be adding to this list as things occur to me ...
