What is your raid experience? Please list as much as you think is relevant. Significant raiding in vanilla, bc, wolk as a resto druid, casual raiding (lfr) in cata, mop, and wod.


Why did you leave your previous (current) guild? I haven’t been in a real guild in several years. I haven’t felt a connection to a guild as I did in vanilla, bc, and wolk.


How did you find out about our guild? Post in world chat


Does anyone in our guild know you? Doubtful.


How many alts do you have and is this your main? I have several 100’s. This is my main.


What are your play times? I have flexibility in playing.


Which of our raid times would you be able to make? Both (T/Th, 11P-2A EST, I believe)

Have you spent a sufficient amount of time and gold on your gear, gems, and enchants? Not lately, but over the years, certainly


Raiders are expected to use consumables during raids. In the following categories what consumable would you use and why?
- Flask/Elixirs: greater draenic int flask
- Well Fed: haste

What is the basic enchanting / gemming strategy for your character? Stat priority is int>spi>haste>mastery>crit


What is your favorite boss fight and why? What boss haven't you fought that you're looking forward to the most? Every boss fight has something unique and fun about it. I’ve been playing so long, that my favorites are from old raids (ZA most favorite raid during the timed mount run days).


What boss mod(s) do you use? DBM (can add additional mods as necessary)


What website(s) do you use to proactively research raid encounters? Youtube, as I get a visual and audible learning experience.


Is there anything else you want to tell us? I’m looking for a place to settle down and do some raiding. It’s been a while since I’ve felt that I’ve belonged in a guild. The last tight-knit guild I was in, I became close RL friends with a number of the members (and have been for nearly 10 years). Perhaps Forged Alliance is that next fit.


Are there any ways that we can improve the application process? It's a thorough application process.

greetings, thanks for the app! your gear is not sufficient for mythic at the moment, but you should be close enough for heroic farm stuff so we can invite you as a casual raider for now and you can request a promotion when you are ready.

the armory is missing one of your trinkets, but i suspect that it may be the new heirloom trinket? you should also work on getting your 715 ring, but otherwise everything else looks good to me.

we almost never run normal mode mostly due to me being stubborn about such things, but we have been farming heroic mode on a weekly basis. we're just starting out in mythic, this was the first week we had 20 people and with the help of cross realm we hope to be able run mythic more consistently.

correct, raids times are 10pm - 1am server time, which is currently central time zone.

i would recommend getting iskar assist:

or possibly exorsus raid tools:
http://www.curse.com/addons/wow/exorsus-raid-tools

mainly for iskar because they are helpful for the eye mechanic. iskar assist is really well done and makes the encounter easier to manage, while ert has a bunch of stuff for the entire instance. alternatively, if you miss the good old vashj macro, there is also and updated version of the for iskar in the (outdated) strategy post:
