this is a separate thread for mumble information, the server information is in the guild info tab.

get the appropriate stable version for your operating system.

the installation is pretty simple. all of the defaults should be fine, but a few things to note:
you don't need to install the backwards compatibility option
you don't need to send usage statistics if you don't want to
if it asks you for a certificate, you can just have it create one automatically.
you should probably set a push to talk key:
configure -> settings -> audio input -> transmission / transmit -> push to talk
configure -> settings -> shortcuts -> add

setting up a new server is similar to vent. when you connect for the first time, you can just click yes when it asks about the certificate, as there isn't any reason the connection needs to be secure anyway.

if you have any questions or issues, please let me know.

for those of you wondering why mumble isn't working as of 1/15/2012 11:36:47 gmt, you can read why here:
http://blog.mumble.info/important-updat ... le-1-2-3a/

this may or may not only affect windows 7. you will need to uninstall your current version and install the latest version, currently 1.2.3a. your settings should be saved.
