Benediction Joint runs cancelled immediately

Over the past two weeks or so Benediction has absorbed a few smaller guilds and their numbers have swollen to the point where they can field their own 25 mans with ease.

Rather than inform us that this would be our last week of joint raids, they decided that they do not wish to run with us tonight and would rather take their new players. I spoke with a few of their officers on Vent and it seems Eunn (Namas / Jehoum) is the only one fighting the good fight for us over there. He's only one person though. The other Officer on vent (who's char name I'm not familiar with) was apologetic.

My fury and displeasure at having our 12 people signed in and ready to go only to be told to go home at raid time is immense. There is a distinct lack of professionalism and decency to pull this kind of stunt at the last minute.

I understand they want to raid with their own guild, but giving us the shaft at the last minute...

Where we go from here is unclear. We could attempt to find another guild to run with (maybe Masquers, but I think they don't like us), or we could start a light recruiting drive to do our own hopefully. So. If you have friends or family that can raid, bring 'em over :)

They also mentioned the possibility of an interest in FA merging with Benediction. But frankly I don't see that happening. Besides personality conflicts (we're a friends and family guild - they're a progression guild now it seems), the fact remains that they have 25 raiders ready to go. Why would they need to take any of the people from FA that join them? And how could they possibly fit everyone?

Questions, thoughts or comments? Post 'em here. Please keep the thread civil. While Benediction may have thrown us the finger more or less, we're better than that.

Hmm, two more nights to work on my alt!

That aside, when I had the three headcount polls up, we had counts of 13, 16, and 14 for Tue-Wed. Even if we should have 25 raiders present on a given night, based on our present experience in ToC25, we may be able to meet the DPS requirements for the non-heroic mode, but we'd probably have to go down to 5 healers on some fights.

In terms of near term activity and preparation for Icecrown, I think our best course of activity is to run two ToC Normal 10 and two Onyxia 10 groups. We'd have to run them on staggered nights so that we can backfill with alt characters as needed since our concurrent online population on a given night isn't usually up in the 20s.

Still thinking of ideas.

You had to see that coming. The only two that I didn't mute the first night we started raiding with them were Jehoum and Bhoss. The rest were/are annoying as fck. DB's the lot of them. I saw on the realm forums how MQ was looking for a joint raid, you guys need to hit them up fast before someone else does.

Yea, I saw that and replied. Gonna try to get ahold of them. I think there's some hurt feelings on that side from the last time with the miscommunications, but that should be smooth-over-able.

Yeah, we can get around that. Just tell them about having a new GM and crap. Maybe send Jason, they like him!

I'm really sorry guys. This is such a messed up situation.
Here's what happened.

4 of small guilds decide to merge with us and of course their GMs and such wants to be part of officers or what not.
So from small guild where we could just run 10 man toc etc and such to 150 members with at least 40~50 active in a week.

It suddenly became not my guild any more. I had no control over anything. Everything was by vote. Of course I was only one who had history with Forged alliance, I was only one who's pushing the Joint Run. and of course you know the rest of story.

ya I'm very irritated by this and I never meant for this to happen by any reason. I'm too ashamed to log to my namas to face you guys.

again I'm sorry. and I don't know what's gonna happen to Benediction any more.

It'll work out. I'm sure we can get our own 25 man up and running in a few weeks at most.

Eunn, I'm pretty sure nobody blames you for that. You have always been a good friend to the guild, and I hope you still come hang out with us.

Finally got ahold of the Masquers GM today. They already found a guild, so we're SoL there.

tell them we have their fruit rollups and if they ever want to see them again, they WILL raid with us thrice weekly.

Would've been nice if that worked out since it'd mean being able to still raid with Jason and Sxy, but that's not happening it seems :(

I was going to look for the proper 25man thread to revive but then I got bored and just went with this one. There is a person app'in over on the Crisis forums that says Sanctuary is not going to have enough to raid 25man ICC. I don't know how reliable his info is obviously but that is another possibility if the officers wanted to try and get a joint raid going again. GL.

25 mans were discussed at the last officer meeting and now the the patch is coming we should be due to have another meeting on this subject.

I don't speak for the other officers, but I personally am content with our just sticking with 10 mans. But I wouldn't be against trying it again.

Have we taken a recent census of reliable raiders? I would like to see us doing an all guild 25 man raid if we have the people. It seems like we have 2 regular 10 man groups going every week and sometimes a 3rd. *Fingers crossed*, hopefully we have enough people for a 25 man group :)

I *heart* 25mans too but the only reason we can even get 2 10mans going is because people are bringing alts usually.
