I can heal both nights - but I won't be getting home until between 8:30 and 9 (will try to make it as early as possible). On a side note - DPS better bring the hurt - we got embarrassed by the other naxx group that ran on sunday - here is a WWS of the first boss from each Us - 8k dps
http://wowwebstats.com/4z2hjqkuepw6s?s=4784-19860 Them - 11.1k dps
http://wowwebstats.com/hrmsqwhfuqfzc?s=39826-52445 They ran 2 healers, which I think we are equipped to do as well, but 3 might enable us to push a little deeper in, albeit at a slower pace.

I'd love to bring Hamline as elemental dps; hopefully those talent tree changes take effect today. Weekends are generally better for me than weeknights.

That fight you linked Hanh has adds, and the classes with AoE were at the top of their charts so I figured you might have picked a fight that was a little lopsided for them. But we both did Grand Widow Ferlina and they owned us there too. So I agree, we have to bring in some heavy hitters. I think we need to keep 3 healers though. The difference in DPS is not something that 1 person can make up. With only 2 healers we would go OOM and die before the DPS could down the boss. I wish they had a WWS for Patchwerk, a simpler tank and spank would really show us where we stand.

I don't really have anything to say about these two groups vs each other, I wasn't a part of those runs this week. However that being said, I agree that if we are going to make short work of Naxx people need to bring the hurt if you are a DPS class. I don't want to start pointing fingers or hurt anyone's feelings because that really isn't productive most of the time. In Wotlk many of our DPS talent trees changed drastically in they way they work, and many DPS cycles became much more complicated. There aren't many classes left that can just sit and spam one attack and do their max damage anymore. I have noticed(again not going to point fingers) running certain things that some people aren't even barely putting out 1/2 of the DPS they should be capable of in the gear they are wearing. If you have any questions about how your new DPS cycle works, I suggest checking out the "Class Mechanics" forum on Elitist Jerks. elitistjerks.com/f31/ They have very good explanations of the vanilla DPS cycle for each class, as well as how to adjust in burst vs. sustained and single target vs. AOE situations.

We didn't do Patchwerk, we're doing him this week when we have more than one night. Anyway, both Tsuni and I never had any mana issues except for I believe once, but that was only Tsuni oom, so I could take over while he was regenning. The healing was actually never the issue, so I think you should try 2 healers. Maybe an extra dps spot would help more than you think.

First off - my intention was not to get on a soap box and holler at dps to pick up their game (especially since I heal), so I apologize if I came off as a jerk. I don't want anything to turn into a competition, I just want to make sure we are having as much fun as possible. As long as we are not wiping due to enrage timers, we are fine. I just thought we could look at other groups for a frame of reference and maybe adjust our strategies or DPS can see if some other person of your class is doing a lot more dps, take a peek at their armory. I know since wrath launched, I am confused about how much I would gear for crit vs hit vs spell power if I were elemental, so its things like this I was getting at. Yea you can read up on theorycrafting, but its a lot more helpful to see someone in a similar position (progression wise) doing it and then see what it is they are doing differently. 2 healers - yes I think we can do 2 healers, but when fights last as long as they did last week (which is normal for learning stuff), it stretches my mana pool fairly thin. I think its just a matter of getting everyone a couple of upgrades and maybe a piece or two of t7 and we should be fine. There were some fights I thought would be totally fine and I was a little bored, and then there were some fights I knew we would be screwed with 2 healers (at my current gear level).

Also, without replenishment, 2 healers is not a possibility. On a 4 minute Grand Widow fight, replenishment gave me 8k mana. Thats more than my mana spring and mana tide totems combined. Its (unfortunately) becoming an almost mandatory buff. I have to ask myself, where would we have ended up without that 8k mana?

IMO a little friendly competition is a good thing as long as it stays friendly.

Yeah yeah totally. I didn't take your post as a bash or anything like that. I like the competition. I like it, I love it, I want more of it. For new content (even though it's entry level and relatively easy) maybe we should put a little more thought into Raid Composition. I haven't done any research so we may already have everything covered. I've been promoting raid comp since I joined this guild. I understand that we're clique-ish and have certain people that we would rather play with. But when possible, and if advantageous maybe this could help. Here is a link to the group 1 raid comp from 12/12 using the specs that people are today, 12/17. So it may be inaccurate.

At any rate. My dps should be higher this week since I have gotten a few upgrades. Rathr has respec'd (AGAIN!) and done more reading on spell rotation. Carlos got a ton of upgrades in just the groups that I ran with him. He probably got a ton more on the runs I wasn't in. We will be better this week!

Ok, so I know you guys are tossing around the idea of trying the 2 healer thing. Maybe Friday you can give it a shot if you are all serious about trying it. I know I was planning on being there, but my sister is going to be here so I kind of had to commit myself to some RL shit (like finishing Christmas stuff). I'm sorry for the short notice, I would love to be there Sat and still plan on it if ya'll would still like me to be. But Friday is a no go So if you decide to try it with 2 healers GL, I'm sure you'll do great!!!
