Just a show of hands really -- who would be available to raid on the off nights for our normal raid?Tuesday + Friday and/or SaturdayI can be there as filler, but I can't commit full time as Drumble.

I bet I could go once in a while with Huck, but I'm not gonna commit to more than the three nights I already do.

I like playing on Friday night, but are you talking about a separate instance?  I suppose I'll have to start leveling an alt after all...

I  dont think we have enough for a second group yet... however, I think Chuunks is just trying to not only get a feel for who can contrubute when, but how we could potential split things up.  It would be handy to know when folks are able to raid (maybe starting a different availability thread, or maintaining the original one put up awhile back) to better distribute folks during our raid nights and tailor group makeup accordingly.

Just to clarify a couple points:I am just trying to just get a feel for who would be available.I am talking about separate instances. However, I think that we do have enough to get the second raid started.   The second raid is going to need some padding, and struggle with members the first few raids just as the main raid did.  We'll have to PUG a few -- and fill in with our alts.  It will be a struggle to get it going -- but well worth it in the long run.We all want this to be fair to everyone, and give everyone a chance to raid -- and yet we all realize that it's unwise to swap new people in who haven't had the raid experience/ gear of the earlier fights.   If we suck up the first fights with our "main" raid id - -they'll *never* get the starting gear / reputation.I actually like the idea of Tuesday night being Attumen / Moroes / ?? whatever else we can get to with the main raid ID -- that helps us get further, lots of  Prince attempts.Anyways -- not too many replies here so I suppose it's just a pipe dream. :)    It's just a crummy situation to put people -- welcome to our guild, sit down and we'll call you when it's your turn to raid.~ Mason

Actually -- now that I think about it more.  I believe that anyone not involved in the "Wed/Thurs/Sun" group should definately try and make it to a Tuesday raid.  The main group could then decide whether or not they want to spin a new instance or continue for progression's sake on the other.  This Tuesday group would eventually and inevitably end up spinning into their own ...

Sorry to beat this subject into the ground -- but I had a good analogy.I was watching a business seminar where the speaker was talking about the "corridor" approach to building a company.  They did an interview with a bunch of people who had taken his seminar 5 years earlier and found that there was one significant difference between the people who had found success - - and those who were still failing.  The ones that were failing were still waiting for that perfect opportunity.  "The corridor approach" is a process by which you continue towards a goal regardless of obstacles -- because as you travel down the corridor, the doors of opportunity open to the right and left of you.We talk about growing into something bigger, but how can we until we have a void to fill?I SAY LETS START B TEAM NOW!!!  RAWR!!!!

I am all for getting a second group started.  I hadn't planned on bringing any alts into Kara this early, but I"m willing to level my shadow priest fast to help out with either group.  I am willing to go with either team with either toon-- understanding there will still be a bit of a learning curve with Team B.One thing I have been thinking about a lot lately is the "perfect" group composition for Kara.  Especially now that we are getting close to having a second group.  I can't claim to know the fights well enough to know what each fight needs, but it would be really nice to decide on the 6-7 necessary classes/roles and then the 3-4 swappable classes for the group to be successful.  This way we can do raid signups by class knowing the team will be successful.  That's my 2 cents.  I would love to hear people's ideas on what a successful group composition would be (for all bosses).  Here is what I have been mulling over (far from complete):Main Tank (warrior)Off Tank (dps warrior/druid/ret pally?)3 CC (Shadow or Holy Priest/ Hunter/Lock?)2 Main Healers (Priest/Druid/Holy Pally?/Resto Shaman?)1 Off HealerAnd from here I would say we need X amount of melee dps, and Y amount of ranged dps.  Again this could still be class specific.Jetta

IMHO -- the key to success is simple.  Mighty threat to hold the aggro against mighty DPS, and the ability to heal through the sustained damage.  While we still have people new to encounters and are learning new bosses, I'd err on the side of 3 healers (2 dedicated - one hybrid sounds right).  The class makeup is tempered by the boss / trash, but I'd see the general formula as: 1 MT 1 OT 2-3 Healers 5-6 DPS In this scenario -- you would need to have at least: 1 "warrior type" sub 1 "healer type" sub 2 "dps type" subs .. for no shows and off-nights for people. That's 14 per raid group .. but we could just tighten our belts and make it work with 10 each in the short-run.  We're trying something different this week since we have a holiday on our main raid day, but next week seems like a good time to test out a split ...

Anyone / Everyone should post their availability in the sticky at the top of this forum.  This thread is just a show of hands ...Myrdinn is maintaining the master chart we can hopefully use to divide into equal parts.

Sounds good Koko, although if we said you had to join the guild in order to raid on a regular basis would that get you to come back

Killean being Paladin and the only non-priest dedicated healer gets both the leather and mail AND plate, if they're upgrades at the time. I dont think he's rolled on a single piece of loot.  THAT's lucky. :) Please post your availability in the sticky thread at the top -- include your character name too, I'm drawing a blank. :)
