I was so determined that I won't play WoW till I got my homework done first  I tried that few times after reading wowwiki and the guru sites, watched the in-game youtube video, but had a hard time to defeat all of them completely! Then I finally realize there's a beat the simulator's youtube version (okay, I'm the kind of gal don't read owner's manual much) - watched once and immediately beat the simulator several time. It's really not hard at all, once u remember: 5 (AOE), 4 (shackle), 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3 (lance as much as u can till your cool down is up) and make sure run in the center, rotate targets and repeat the same thing couple times! Watch the cooldown of AOE and Shackle. It's pretty fun

Got it, 5 out of 6 times once I got the hang of it, so not perfect, but I know what to do and how to do it.

BT Week bump.
I still don't see enough people with success to build a full raid, so go use the simulator and sign up if you haven't already. Also even for us simulator veterans, it wouldn't hurt to get another few practice attempts in before we all get together and take this dude down.

I've successfully finished it several times, and having actual in-game experience I gotta say it was helpful. The game is different and there doesn't seem to be as much room as in the simulator, but it showed me how to do what's needed.

Let's say it again in capital letters. YOU MUST HAVE COMPLETED THE SIMULATOR SUCCESSFULLY AND POSTED YOUR SUCCESS IN ORDER TO BE PART OF THE TERON GOREFIEND RAID.  If you haven't, you're costing time / gold / frustration for the 20 others who have posted so far.  Get 'er done!!!

Yes I tried it, got frustrated, tried it some more and got frustrated more...it would be easier if I could use my mouse to move. No hard feelings if you want someone who can beat it take my spot in raid cause I suck at it

Not being an organizer, I did want to make the following comment. The simulator is not the real thing.  The point of the simulator, though, is to make sure that everyone understands the mechanics of the fight.  During the actual fight, I intend to change my keybindings such that my extra mouse button 4 is bound to action bar 3 which is the ice lance thingy.  That way, I can move backwards using WASD, click target my mobs and use mouse button 4 to ice lance them.  I probably won't have to rebind action bars 4 and 5 since I can use WASD with my left hand and move my mouse to the hotbar since the nova/shackle don't require a click target. If you think that your speed will drastically improve in the actual fight, don't sweat the simulator too much.  With respect to using the mouse to move, I don't know if the target needs to be in front of you to ice lance them (every video I've seen has the player facing the mobs).  I suppose you could swing the camera around rapidly with the mouse to turn, move, turn back, ice lance, but it'd be hard for me to say if that will be fast enough.  Perhaps bind the middle mouse button (left+right click) to move backwards instead of forward. -HP

Yeah I am fairly certian you will need to be facing them and backing up to ice lance them.

Guess this a good spot to let the RL's know that I will be getting on probably a bit after the raid is scheduled to start tonight.  Got offered to work for somebody and said yes, considering I need all the money I can get right now with a tuition bill and rent for my apartment at school (which i'm not even living in yet) to pay. So I'll probably be getting on around 9 server, if for some reason the raid hasn't started yet then I'm all over it, otherwise I'll just be on and you guys can holler if you need me to fill for somebody.

If we're short healers, we could do reliquary instead. -HP

Got the hang of it....6/6 once i figured out what to do...and that the icelances stack.  Anybody know what the default key binding are for the useful abilities once you go to ghost form?  Is it Ctrl-3, Ctrl-4, and Ctrl-5?

Unless you have some crazy mod that tweaks your hotkeys, it works just like the chess event in Karazhan.  The new abilities appear on your primary hotkey bar. -HP
