mumble server

Post by draven »

greetings, it appears the server that mumble was running on may have reached the computer paradise known as end of life. i'll see if i can get it running again and / or figure something else out for this evening.

the power supply on the server is dead so there is no resurrecting it for tonight, or potentially anytime soon. i'm in the process of setting up a new server now, it should be ready for the raid. the chances of it being available 24/7 are bad, but i'll try to make sure it's up for raids until i get the old server running again. when you connect to the new server you'll need to accept the security certificate, if you have any issues connecting or anything, please let me know.

the server does not meet the minimum system requirements:
Microsoft Windows XP with SP2, Microsoft Windows Vista, or Windows 7

is there a new/temporary server that we will be using for the group 3 raid tonight? if so, what is the server/port/password?

yes, the connection info is the same, but the server will not always be on until i get the other server fixed. that said, i'm not going to be around this weekend, so i'm going to leave it on and it should be up from now until sunday night.

greetings! the original mumble server has been resurrected and should be available for your chattering needs 24/7ish once again. you will need to accept the certificate yet again, but otherwise the settings should be the same. if you have any issues, please let me know.

sorry about that, i was ambitious and cleaned my living room today, which required shutting down the server for a bit, and the mumble server apparently didn't restart properly. my bad, i should have tested it before i disappeared for the evening. it should be fine now.
