Group 3 Permanent Raid Forming (Updated 8/1)

Post by Mormo »

We are now 2/7 with a 2 shot on shannox and 1 shot on Beth last Friday. Good job everyone.

Still in need of solid consistent dps!!!

I am trying to turn the current Group 3 alt raid into a full up and running weekly core raid. We would like to fill our open slots with raider ranked members that do not have a slot in G1/G2. I understand that we will most likely be filling slots with raid ready alts, at least for the time being. If we are to slot alts I hope we can get the same effort and progression dedication that is given while playing your main. It's not a problem to swap in and out alts but we would like to get an established raid with some good synergy between the members.

Understanding that the raid will/may be filled with G1/G2 alts for the time being we will be scheduling raids around G1/G2 times so we don't have any issues. Raid time is up for discussion but at the moment we are shooting for either Wed/Fri 7 Server or Fri/Sat 7 Server. Once we can recruit and fill these slots with main characters we would like to push for Tues/Wed 7 Server, we can be flexible.

Raid Slot Comp

Tanks FULL

Kloreli - Prot Pally - Raid Lead
Mormo - Prot Warrior - alt Raid Lead

Healers FULL

Vaquera - Resto Shaman
Qqforheals - Resto Shaman
Candlelight - Holy Paladin

DPS

Volian - MM hunter (Sonasti been out of the loop for a bit)
Open - Pref Lock/Spriest
Open - Pref Mage
Open - Pref Boomkin/Ele
Open - Pref Rogue/Feral/Enhance/DK

Loot Distribution
For 10 person raids, loot distribution is at the raid leader's discretion. In most cases it will be master loot rolls or group loot main spec need / off spec greed.
As a general rule, we try to be as fair about loot distribution as possible. Main characters are generally given priority over alts, and main spec is given priority over offspec. There are occasions when raid progession is taken into consideration, for example giving priority to tanks (most likely first tier drop will go to a tank if possible), or certain legendary weapons to more consistent raiders. If disputes arise, the raid leader makes the final decision. Please feel free to discuss any issues you may have with officers, but also please remember that one piece of gear isn't going to make or break a character, and loot drama is generally not worth the effort or negativity it generates. I am not an officer but please come to me if you have any issues with decisions within G3 raid before you take it to an officer. I would rather discuss problems and find solutions internally before it's brought to our officers attention, they have better things to do.

If interested please reply with name, class and spec below. Also will be posting an event to all current raider ranked members. If you have any questions please send a tell to Kloreli, Mormo, Qqforheals, Zeldri in game.

Have fun all, thanks.

Name: Strumgard
Class: Boomkin

Just want to express my interest. But i would like to say that if there is a possibily of having the raid times earlier that would be great. If not then ill gladly step aside for ppl that have no problem with it.

My alt paladin (Wirhelmina) can tank or heal. I can fill in if you're short; if you have someone else that can fill the spot (e.g., they're logging on late), I'll bow out.

@ Strumgard - Our Prot pally is located in Alaska atm so we really cant push the raid to the left at all. It's basically 7+ server for now.

@ Waterdrop - Excellent we were looking specifically for a holy pally, you will be healing alongside a resto shaman and resto druid....although the druids a priest until she xfers the druid. :P

@Inori - Will definitely be on the list to fill in when possible/necessary.

Appreciate the interest.

Still looking for more solid dps.....what is it with alliance and DPS? Horde side is flooded with them.

Good deal, I posted the raid on the calendar and did a mass invite just to see what we are working with. I will confirm your invitation, thank you.

I'm probably not an option for this group going forward. 7pm is way too early for me to get everything done after work before logging on and Mon/Wed are usually my off raiding days to help the wife with w/e is needed and log on late to catch up on VP.

It's no problem we have been raiding a bit later then 7 server due to no shows/people on vacation. We didn't get started till around 9server or so last night. We ended up going 2/7 with two practice attempts on Baleroc so the dps/healers could workout the rotations.

I think HP will have to fill in for me again tonight. Sorry for my bad raid attendance.

Maybe you guys could recruit Huy as the holy pally, since that's his main and I'm sure he wants to raid. But until then, I'll try to keep making raids.

EDIT: Nevermind, it looks like my plans got cancelled.

Well, when Arnold (Tyli) is back from duty, he's one DPS. Chris is watching Thundercats and Ray can't log on that early, so that's two down. I think Phil and Jason have been showing up. Not sure where the other WoW addicts are. Waterdrop and I are both online, but we're tanks/heals. Maybe once we're 7/7, it'll be easier to recruit more DPS.

not dead yet were still trying to fill in raid slots while looking for alternatives.. Ive been thinking of maybe someone getting a list of none raiding people/chars who are typically online and would be willing to give it whirl... are any of you able to go through and throw some names of people at us who don't have a perma raid group of potentially non alts at the moment?

ok, just curious and wanted to check. i don't want to continue to attempt to recruit (apparently non-existent) dps for a group that doesn't exist anymore and then not have a spot anywhere.
