greetings! i'm not sure / i fear how much time i might dump into classic, but they've announced the realm names:
https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t ... pes/246645

and starting monday 8/12 at 3pm pacific it will be possible to reserve character names. does anyone have plans to play classic? if so what faction? and pvp or pve? and what realm?

personally i'd probably lean towards alliance (despite being heavily in favor of horde back in the day) on a pvp realm, but i've no idea which realm. maybe faerlina or whitemane depending on the desired timezone?

I'm planning on doing Alliance and PvE at first. I'm leaning towards the Atiesh realm.

for those that may be curious, my current plan is to create alliance characters on atiesh and a horde character on faerlina. if anyone has other suggestions please let them be known.

We'll be doing Atiesh (PVE) for Alliance and Whitemane for Horde (PVP). I'll probably have some Horde on a PVE server too.

I got 3 characters created on Atiesh. I'm not as attached to any names for Horde so I'll create those on launch day.

I feel like this was an experimental soft open. A bit more so than the stress tests. I don't think they were prepared. Its not gonna be pretty on launch day, lol.

i'm curious to see how it works out. i suspect there will be a lot of people initially, and then it will dwindle once people start to realize how much of a grind it is and how many quality of life things have been added to the game since then. i'm not convinced i'll make it to level 40 before i get tired of running around all over the place.

wooo I'm ready! And ya, I get a feeling around level 30 is when each person will find out how commited they are, that grind from 30-40 with no mount was something else.

We're making a guild on Atiesh called Darkshire Alliance, which includes current and old school FA players.

Here's the discord if anyone is interested: https://discord.gg/DQqDU8v
